Chain Gang and Playing Cards

15 PAX posted, did their time, and got released from the sandbag chain gang workout

The Motivator

The Thang:
Half the PAX Split up and did the F3 Deck of Cards focusing on Proper Cadence Sequence. Man, why do Aces seem to always appear quicker in a workout deck then in a game of cards?

While half the PAX were playing with cards, the other half of the PAX walked the carabiner linked 40 pound, 50 pound, 50 pound, and 40-pound sandbags around the 1/2 mile loop of the park. We farmer carried, overhead carried, lunge walked and farmer carried our weighted coupon around the park.

The PAX did a switcheroo and repeated the process.

The PAX got back together and continued playing cards. Four PAX were pulled out and the sandbags were unlinked. The Four PAX each grabbed a sandbag, did a sandbag clean and press, then chucked their sandbag. Repeat for 100 yards and shoulder carried their sandbag to the start point. Continue playing cards and while everyone took their turn on the sandbag 100-yard fun.

Won’t get fooled again.

A couple weeks ago, Hershey Kiss had us all fooled into thinking we were doing the Murph.

Because everyone was so upset that we did a different workout (and because Memorial day is only 2 months away), it only felt appropriate to actually do the Murph.

Great job today PAX!  Way to push on the APFT.  It is awesome to use the results from today as a baseline.  We will do it again in three months or so and you will definitely see results!  Welcome FNG-Magneto!  It was great having you join us for the workout and Coffeteria!
