So y’all might not know this but YHC is raising up 3 kids to be die hard WWE wrestling fans. What might be more surprising is that M Priorities is actually the driving force behind this. Forced to watch WWF Monday Night RAW (still going btw) by her older brother as a kid, she became the world’s biggest fan of the Heart Break Kid, Shawn Michaels. Fast forward 25 years to last night and the entire Priorities family was screaming at the tv watching the 2019 WWE Royal Rumble!
So if you don’t know, the Royal Rumble is a match where a new wrestler enters the ring every 90 seconds. The only way to be eliminated is to be thrown over the top rope and both feet hit the floor. The last person left in the ring wins the match and goes on to headline WrestleMania! If you watch only one wrestling match every year it is this one. Fan or not, you should check it out next year. In case you missed it, we reenacted the event at Table Top the next morning. Here’s what went down:
A new exercise every 90 seconds. First two rounds were SSHs and Arm Circles to warm up, 90 seconds AMRAP. Every following round, 1 pax sprinted around the “ring” (perimeter of the soccer field). Any time left on the clock when the sprinter returned was rest for everyone. Repeat 30 times.
COT:
“Every man’s heart one day beats its final beat, his lungs breathe their final breath and if what that man did in his life makes the blood pulse through the body of others and makes them believe deeper in something larger than life, then his essence, his spirit will be immortalized. “
– Ultimate Warrior
This is one of the most motivating speeches in the history of wrestling. Ultimate Warrior came on Monday Night RAW and gave this speech 2 days before having a fatal heart attack. As #HIM we should continually be looking for ways to inspire others around us, not for our own legacy but in service to our community.

Break for 3rd F; 3 Lies men believe about themselves (All Pro Dads) It all happened in twenty seconds. Nick Foles was the starting quarterback for the Rams, who had just lost two games in a row. He sat in a game planning room with quarterback coach Chris Weinke, and backups, Case Keenum and Sean Mannion. Suddenly Head Coach Jeff Fischer burst into the room. He thanked Foles for his service but announced he was no longer the starter. After that, the Head Coach left as quickly as he entered, leaving Foles blindsided. By the end of that season, just two years after being selected for the pro bowl, Nick Foles had lost his love for football and decided to retire. Game Over. How did he go from that moment to being Super Bowl MVP just two years later? He shares in his book, Believe It: My Journey to Success, Failure, and Overcoming the Odds, The 3 Lies many men believe about themselves. Lie 1: I Am What I Do: Believing this lie will make you (in your mind) as good as your last performance. If you win, you are a winner. If you lose, you are a loser, plain and simple. This lie was at the core of Nick Foles’ belief. He felt as good about himself as his last game. When he realized that he was not the sum of his successes and failures he finally experienced freedom. Regardless of his performance, he came to realize that God loved him unconditionally, and that was his true identity. After that, football was no longer about achieving a sense of self-worth. It was just about using his God-given gifts to play the game. Lie 2: I Am What People Say About Me: Believing this lie will make you as good (again, in your mind) as the last thing someone said to you or about you. This causes a lot of men to abandon their authentic self in favor of someone they think others will accept. They end up creating a person they think others want. It’s posing, rather than living. Are you in constant need of affirmation? When someone says something negative about you, does it send you spiraling? We are all in need of encouragement, and certainly, negative feedback hurts. However, until you can be honest and embrace who you are you will be a shell of a person. Lie 3: I AM What I Have: Believing this lie will make you as valuable as the sum of your possessions, your name, or sphere of influence. It will make you greedy because we can never have enough to feel full. It will make you fearful and anxious to hold on to what you have. And it will make you insecure as you compare yourself to others. Your wealth (or lack of) and your job (or lack of) does not define you. The amount of power or influence you have on society (or lack of) does not define you.
Thang Part-3: School parking lot next to bike rack; Over the Wall to 10 LBCs wash, rinse, repeat 5x. Mosey back to Circle (0.75ish miles).
Rumor is it was the anniversary of Croc’s birth on the big ball. Was he here to confirm? No. Were others there to help celebrate? Yes. Seven in fact. Welcome FNG Cooncat! Apparently it’s the state pet of Maine. Don’t tell me you came to Bash at the Beach this morning and didn’t learn anything!!
YHC was a little nervous that it might just be limited numbers this morning due to the extreme weather. The ole temperature thermometer (on my new Apple Watch…) said it dipped down to 40 degrees this morning but to my surprise, we were 7 strong to play around in the sand. Delighted in the turnout, I texted Dreamliner about our great workout. His response:
“That’s so cool. Very happy to hear you all are really growing.
That said. You are complaining about 40 🤦♂️”
Well, the morning turned out to be beautiful despite being a little crisp. Here’s how it went down…
Disclaimer: “My practices aren’t designed for your enjoyment” – Norman Dale
Warmup:
SSHs IC x33
Copperhead squats IC x15
Moroccan Nightclubs IC x33
Its IC x20
Paint the lines
The Thang:
Catch me if you can – Lunges in the sand version – We started with 1 pax carrying two jugs lunge walking toward the pier. When caught, the pax carrying the jugs does 5 burpees and sprints to catch the jugs again. With 7 pax, the jugs never moved forward since there was always a line of pax waiting to take over. So an audible was called to have 2 pax lunging at a time carrying 1 jug overhead. Brutal.
Once we hit the pier, we split up into 3 groups. 1 group doing wall sits, 1 doing box jump, and 1 sprinting around 50 yards with the jugs and back. Once the jugs made it back to the pier, rotate. Each 3 rotations, we swapped groups.
Last, we had to get the jugs back to the flags. So we all lunge walked back passing the jugs in a line as necessary.
COT:
YHC happened to watch Hoosiers yesterday. Apparently I’m the only fan of 80s sports movies…
“If you put your effort and concentration into playing to your potential, to be the best you can be, I don’t care what the scoreboard says at the end of the game, in my book we’re going to be winners.” – Norman Dale
If we’re giving our best, truly our best, to our jobs, our marriage, our family, our concentrica, then it doesn’t matter what the score is, we’ll be winners.

Prison Break back to AO!
Break for Third F: “Leadership is spelled E-X-A-M-P-L-E”
“People need a model to follow, not a motto to say”
“Your actions speak so loud that what you say, I can’t hear.”
It’s interesting to note that the Christian trend of the WWJD bracelet in the ’90’s was “What Would Jesus Do” not “What did Jesus Say” or “What would Jesus Say.” Jesus is the greatest Leader that has ever lived. Regardless of your faith, you cannot deny his loyal following for centuries after His death. More have died and lived for His name than any other in the World’s history. There’s a lot of reasons for this but I believe it is because of His flawless example. Jesus gave us a model to follow, not just a motto to say. Even Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 11:1, “Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.” In Ephesians, Husbands are charged to “love your wives, just as Christ loved the church.” It’s not a charge to love our wives because Jesus said so. It’s a true example to emulate. As leaders of our homes, workplaces, F3 Beatdowns, etc….it is vital that we lead by example. Talk is cheap. The only way to truly lead is from the front, giving those behind you a model to follow.
Back at it for Fire Pit 4
Fire Pit 4: “Wall of Fire”
PAX all holding People’s Chair. First PAX breaks hold and completes 10 Burpees, returns to Chair, next PAX takes on the Burpees, so on and so forth. Rinse and Repeat with 10 Squats and then 10 Split Jacks. OUCH!
